Guided Riverboat Tour and Tour of Vanha Paukku

Step aboard the M/S Koivunlehti and travel back into the past.

Over the course of the one-hour cruise, our guide will introduce you to Lapuan personalities and events that have influenced local and national history. Admire the beautiful parks, gardens and historic buildings.

And, if you want to take a detour to, for example, Jokilaakso’s gorgeous gardens, the riverboat can moor at the bank of the river while you disembark. The cruise starts from Cultural Centre Vanha Paukku’s pier or, optionally, from the Jokilaakso Garden Centre.

Before or after the riverboat tour, our tour guide will take you on a journey through Cultural Centre Vanha Paukku, which occupies the old buildings of the Lapua Cartridge Factory. During the tour, you will be introduced to various attractions, such as the Lapua Cartridge Factory Museum, Lapua Movement Museum, Pyhälahti Photography Museum, the Cartridge Art Gallery’s exhibition, our old factory hall turned library and the chapel dedicated to the victims of the cartridge factory explosion, Pajakappeli.
