Lapua Movement Museum

Our exhibition ‘Viimeistä Piirtoa Myöten’, or ‘Every Last Mark’ in English, focuses on the Lapua Movement and the history of anti-communism in Finland. The Lapua Movement was an anti-communist mass movement born out of the breaking up of a meeting of communist youth in Lapua in 1929. The exhibition is based on photographs and objects related to the movement. The exhibition covers the period from 1929 to 1944, starting with the early days of the Lapua Movement and ending in the banning of the political party that succeeded it, the Patriotic People’s Movement (IKL).
