Cultural Centre Vanha Paukku

Vanha Paukku is a cultural and business centre with a unique history and environment on the banks of the Lapuanjoki river.

The centre, occupying an area defined by the Lapua Cartridge Factory’s disused factory buildings, is home to the Lapua Art Museum, Lapua Cartridge Factory Museum, Lapua Movement Museum and Pyhälahti Photography Museum. It is also where you will find the Cartridge Art Gallery, Ostrobothnian Photography Centre’s gallery and City Library.

Whether you’re organising a meeting, a wedding or a birthday party, the centre is the perfect place for the occasion.

The centre’s largest events are its Christmas Opening Fair in November and the Vanha Paukku Festival in July.

Shop at our unique outlet store, Lapuan Kankurit, and Lapua Art Museum’s wonderful museum shop, Harmonia. The museum shop is reopening in early September following renovations.

If you’re visiting in the summer, you can find the riverboat M/S Koivunlehti at Vanha Paukku’s pier and enjoy a guided river tour.

Restaurant Iso Prässi is ready to meet all your dining needs, whether you’re after a simple lunch or a full private dining experience. Alternatively, you could pop into the Patruuna café and bar in the Magazine Building for a refreshing drink or a bite to eat.

Plunge into an inspiring historical setting!
